Does she even want help? Doesn't sound like it to me. Going 'cold turkey' might sound harsh, but it just might be the right thing to do in her case. But how long will this last?

JoeBob1 has a great point. Who is prescribing these powerful drugs and why. Do her doctors know of her past abuses?

What's missing from the story is the explanation of why she would be prescribed these powerful drugs-and in that quantity-to begin with. Maybe the real pushers are upstream--the doctors or the pain clinics.....just curious

She needs to be sent into isolation and forced to go cold turkey in getting off her habits.

this has to be the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. It would waste our jail space. let her continue to destroy herself and keep my taxes down.

I looked her up and her 2 other offences were dismissed with no jail is that?...most of those arrested for marijuana get jail time...what she was doing I consider Hard drugs whether prescribed or not...also the Burkhammer friend has a pretty lengthy court record, I have no sympathy for either one...

Looks like she's 52 years old and sounds like she needs to be locked up! Throw away the key too! I hear those patches kill people when used improperly.
