Shelly & Sands does not have a terrible record of finishing projects. If they did they'd be out of business instead of one of the biggest contractors in the state.

The state imposes a completion date on every project, if that date is passed they impose expensive penalties. In some cases the state rewards contractors for finishing a project ahead of schedule.

As the ODOT rep said in this article, there was a record amount of road work awarded this year. This 821 job is a minor project. You have to prioritize.

Comments like the one above are not factual, along with the person who stated there were several accidents when the Highway Patrol stated there haven't been.

The contractor, Shelly & Sands, has a terrible record of finishing projects on time, don't they? They really dragged out the RT 7 widening project.

I guess is you spend enough money at the state house like they do, you keep getting the contracts.
