RealityInTheMOV: I'm not from the left, I'm not a fan of Obama, and I'm fairly skeptical of Obamacare. That being said, a fringe element of the Republican Party - led by Canadian Terrorist Ted Cruz and his ilk - are inflicting as much damage to our system of government as our foreign enemies could hope for. And to counter your other point, I believe radical Muslims are just as dangerous as radical Christians. They're two sides of the same fanatical coin.

Freaking lol! Reality look at the vitriol you guys have sent leftward since 2008!

You guys are just mad you are getting treated the way you have treated others.

Oh well. Just imagine when this current path of insanity ends up resulting in the mass loss of congressional seats for your side?

Gonna be real mad then!

It sickens me that ignorance from the left is allowed to call the Right "terrorists", but true terrorists are just misunderstood muslims. Apostrophe, YOU PEOPLE are the terrorists holding the country hostage. ******* SHEEP.

The Gov't shut down continues. We have out of control debt and the ACA roll out still has some glitches. The President refuses to talk about either. The Republicans are simply doing what their constituency wants them to do. When people talk about extremist Republicans you are also talking about the people who voted them in. The Democrats are lead by a west coast liberal and a by an old guy that still refers to Black people by what shade of black they are and if they talk “black”. And you want me to respect that? Sorry, no can do.

typo: The WW2 vets had to go around barricades set up by the Gov't. They were "allowed" in later. The big deal is that they had to be "allowed" into their own memorial where as the illegals were let in the first time. Apostrophe, I did not want essential things shut down. I want a reasonable president that will realize we have a debt problem and that the individual mandate should be rolled back for one year just like the business mandate. I also want the president to stop giving exemptions to groups that support him(unions and other big dollar donors) and enforce the ACA equally across the board, not piecemeal like he is doing now. Extremist Dems in congress keep picking favorites. Why are Michelle and the pres signing up for ACA but making me buy in?

I love how people have make claims the reason why we are so far in US Debt...Just remember the Main reason we are in Debt is because of 2 Wars that was put on credit...And most Information has said, The cost of those 2 wars is mind boggling and close to 10 Trillion ! So yeah. Thats the cost of freedom for ya !

Do not blame the shutdown on the GOP this is all BHO and the senate’s fault.

This protest isn't about a balanced budge. It isn't about people from Ohio, or from Mr. Johnson's District. It's about some US Representatives holding our government hostage while trying to manipulate the Senate and the President into doing what they want. They lost the Presidential election and have vowed to destroy the Affordable Care Act. I applaud those who are protesting blackmail tactics. Are more protests planned?

BeRight: Actually, I watched Boehner's interview with George Stephanopoulos in which Boehner was confronted with and acknowledged this fact. And to set the record straight, groups of WWII vets are allowed into the WWII memorial. In other words, they too have received a special exemption. Funny how extremist Republicans who whine about big government cry the loudest over the closure of "nonessential' things like national parks and monuments. Isn't that exactly what you wanted?

I thought they were protesting Obama closing the Washington Mall to WW2 vets but giving a special exemption to Illegals aliens to stage a protest. Now that is something to be protesting.

What this means is that the administration is sending a clear message that it’s OK to barricade elderly veterans out of their memorials, but illegal immigrants have to be accommodated no matter what..............

Welcome to Obamaland.

Actually, the shutdown IS the GOP's fault. John "Sniffles" Boehner confessed that he and Harry Reid had already arrived at a negotiated clean continuing resolution that included significant budget concessions from the Democrats. Then Boehner, taking his cues from Canadian Terrorist Ted Cruz, reneged on the deal and drove the government into shutdown. Bill Johnson is just another brainless sheep who takes his cues from the terrorist faction of his party.

Pdragon. I agree. Why can't we cut spending. Both sides need to agree. Stop subsidizing foreign countries. Stop giving tax breaks and subsidies to corporations and individuals who don't need them. Reign in defense spending (i.e. buying 3,000 joint strike fighters at over $100 million a piece). Stop spending money fighting wars we don't need to be in. Close all foreign US prisons. Etc.

What in the world is Wamsley doing in Marietta, when he's running in WV? Pure theater for votes, not that he'll get any. These protestors need to open their eyes and think for themselves. Sheep being led to slaughter. They are told it's the GOP's fault, so they happily agree. I can't believe what this country is becoming. SMDH.

Democrats have never seen a social program they didn't like. Their plan for funding is always the same, print or borrow the money. That type of thinking is why we are 17 trillion in debt, and still wanting to borrow even more.
