Why in the world would a parking enforcement person need to be a police officer? That is simply ludicrous.

Something does need to be done about employees downtown parking on the streets. I was on 2nd Street yesterday at 5 o'clock and it was unreal how many workers walked out of the buildings, got into their cars parked on the street and drove away. The streets went from next to zero open parking spaces to almost all of them being empty.
