If Marietta High had more football players like Quinton Coffield, it would be tough to beat....

This is ridiculous that you think Quinton Coffield is the star of the Marietta football team. There are many great athletes on this team. It is just the coaches fault for not knowing how to use them. You could never win a game with a team full of 130 pound kids. I feel that the coaches are taking favorites and just playing who they like and not playing who should actually be there.

What was the purpose of this article.

It alienated the entire team and painted a big target on Quinton's back for Zanesville.

I will take a whole team of 138 pounders who will have the fight, desire and skill of this young man.

The Marietta team has a few; but not what you need to compete in our league.

Blame the coach????Give me a break!!!

He is playing the hand he was dealt. Remember he was brought in as an interim coach to be left with what was here.

Now, you all know more than I; how many players did the conditioning required to play the game of football.

Not just show up??? How many? 6? 8?

How many really care they are on a team? How many have the desire to eave it all on the field.

How many believe it is more important to score after the game than in the game?

No it is not the coach's fault and no Quinton is not the only player on the team.

Go Tigers....don 't worry about these nutso comments. Play hard and get into shape for next year.

"There are many great athletes on this team."

Are you kidding me? What are you basing that statement off of?

New Philadelphia, Dover and Zanesville have many great athletes. I was at all three games watching. Marietta's best player would not start for any of those teams. I am not trying to belittle any Marietta player. I have heard many great things about them as people and their effort. Just being realistic.

But let's face it, they are not close to the same caliber of athlete as anyone they have played in the last three weeks. Those are great athletes.
