If thats the case Lizard I don't think he would have tried to revive the child...he's admitted it was his fault and is now facing the conquences without a trial...if alcohol wasn't involved I bet there's a good chance this tragedy wouldn't have happened...he'll live with this the rest of his life, hope he gets help, he's going to need it...the mother needs to make better choices with whom she let's watch her children also...very sad for all involved...

The man is sorry now but the child is dead. Any person who claimed to be as drunk as he was had no business putting a less than 2 year old child in a tub, and walking away to make a pizza eat it and not remember to check on the child till more thsn an hour later. You never leave a child that age alone in the tub not for one minute, this man was in his 20's .not 12.

this man was in his 20's .not 12.

And had been drinking since 2pm that day, of course he wasn't in his right mind...again why did the mother leave these children with a man who she knew was drunk.?...bet she ask herself this question daily...again, sad for all involved...

I'm very sorry for all involved. But what about the Mother of these children.. Why has she not been charged with neglect for leaving these children with a person who had been drinking? I feel so bad for this young man and I hope that he can get the help he needs. I don't think prison is the answer I can't see how this will help him in any way. May GOD bless him!!!

Nascar nut and Lowell , I do not know the mother, what she did when she went to work. You seem to know the story here, How do you know the mother saw this person she lived with drunk before she left? Do you know she left the child with a drunk man or he he start drinking while the mother was at work? I will say it again. He was the adult here in charge of the child . The mother was not in the home. This man was evidently the babysitter. He put the child in the tub and did not check on the child. Whose fault is it?

Everyone is talking about "How drunk" this fella was. The article says 8 beers in a 6 hr time frame. If that's true that isn't drunk by any means. Get real people. How many of you sit down and have a few beers and have your kids there! Also stop blaming the mom...We all have trusted people we shouldn't have trused at one time or another. This fella is the blame no one else. He made a bad choice and a child suffered for it. That is the problem. The beer or mom didn't cause it!
