It's a good thing that everyone who comments on here is perfect.

Far from it, but I bet most who comment on here would never beat someone till they were unconscious...this young man needs some serious help and I doubt he'll receive any while in prison...he should also be sentenced to 2 yrs. of mental health help when he gets out of prison...

Mr. non-acengineer, thanks for your wise post. You are evidently a poorly educated non-thinker who has to have someone else pay your bills for you. If you cared about society, you would agree there are too many scum bags getting reduced sentences and sympathy from misdirected judges who are good buddies with the prosecutors and don't want to impose too harsh a sentence on anyone. That's why 3/4 of the crime we have are REPEAT OFFENDERS!! You don't have to be perfect to read the newspaper and see the facts.

"Losey will also file for early release, said Smith.

"We will file for judicial release in a timely fashion," Smith told Burnworth at the sentencing."

Do the crime, Do the time. Evidently Ray Smith doesn't believe in our judicial system. Give them a slap on the wrist and let them all go. Thanks Ray.

This animal will commit other crimes once he is released. Who will be his next victim. All the prison sentence will do is increase his ability to avoid apprehension and prosecution in the future. This guy is a boil on the posterior of society and needs to be lanced.

Why do these scum recidivists always seem to get the sympathy of the judge and court and get credit for time served and a short sentence for their violent crimes against an innocent victim? Odds are he'll be back in court within a couple years doing it again, next time worse. If he had 10 years of hard labor as a sentence for this crime, he would probably do everything he could to avoid going back in the slamor again!
