How many overweight people go to McDonalds and get "over served? Let's keep an eye on them too! And as far as getting "beat up", pull the records and see where the disorderly conduct citations have been issued in Beverly...I would say the police need to concentrate the efforts for the whole town and not concentrate on one aspect.

Nothing wrong with drinking as much as you can, getting in fights, drinking a little more, smoking dope until you shiver, going out for munchies, and then heading home.

It take hours of preparation to get that wasted look. Yippee!

While I wouldn't say I'm a "regular customer", I do go to the Valley Inn on occasion. In my opinion, Rex Kenyon is leading quite a smear campaign against the place. I've never felt unsafe there, and I think John does a very good job of dealing with any problems that do arise. I think Mr. Kenyon and the village of Beverly would be better served by turning attention to real problems, of which there are plenty.

Beverly's A-List must have a very short list for places to hang out. The Valley Inn was a dive bar looking for a city to dive into. As it exists today, or from what I have been told or read in this paper the business is borderline nuisance to an outright liability. You can tell that the "Live Free or Die" philosophy is alive and well when the one person quoted in the article doesn't see the need for any civic or police oversite of this business. Probably why the issue of zoning, in the village, was such a contentious issue a couple of years ago. No wonder Beverly looks so worn out and trashed; beautify America must have taken a pass on this village.

Alcohol is the gateway, but for some reason around here all the good old boys are raised to work hard and drink harder, but yet no one wants to talk about the evils that come with the heavy drinking. I see people dying of cirrhosis right now in this county. Just keep serving it up. I never here these problems with cannabis.
