We hear that Reagans policies are what we need, fact is, the poverty rates increased in the Appalachias under his policies, yet some vote for those that want to expand those proven failed policies, and some say work harder, while they are only scheduled to , ahem, work 114 days this year.

oneill, yes, where are the jobs? Seems to me your guy has been in charge for quite some time now, so where are they. What has he done? You do realize that Canada is now more job friendly than the US. We get to lay that squarely at the feet of your man.

I am wondering just how many success stories the government can tout. I doubt enough to justify the expenditures. The way the system is designed is completely flawed and ends up doing more harm than good.

You are correct, but I guess you'll never convince the bleeding hearts who feel guilty about success or the lazy who would take whatever is handed out.

Fifty years and how many more young, single parents are out there? The entitlement programs won't give cash to young single adults...so they have children.

Why don't more people see that the system is not improving quality of life here??

Numbers? "Some" progress? Consider the source. Follow the money. We are expected to believe statistics generated by the agents of the tax collectors and dole machine? Sure. This article continues to accept the false premise that the Government is morally justified to be in the charity business. 50 years and trillions of tax dollars resulting in objective failure and damage to our culture is enough proof for the rational American. There is a hole in this bucket, I mean sieve.
