My prayers go out to the 15 year old girl and her family. I hate to see innocent children hurt by negligence. It appears that Mr. Knight may not be responsible to own a hand gun or other firearm. I hope that after the investigation, should Mr. Knight be eligible to own a firearm, that it be mandated that he attend a "firearms safety course". Then if this happens again, criminal charges should be strict and enforced.

Do I take it from the article that Robbie Knight, 36,still lives with mommy?

If so mommy needs new rules for the house and Robbie needs to go to bed without supper.

Thank goodness the girl will be OK. I would suspect an inch or two either way and we would have been talking about a death.

The discharge of the weapon, if it went anyware, should have gone through the floor of the shooters trailer, not out the side wall.

Poor weapons handling.

Accidental gunshot

no "accident" would have happened if he had checked his weapon when he First picked it up...some accidents are preventable with a little less carelessness...this so called accident should never have happened...

Any negligent discharge of a weapon is the fault of the handler. That the discharge happened while the gun was pointed in an unsafe direction is bad enough. That it traveled the path that it did and injured another person is a freak accident. Heal the girl. Punish the handler of the firearm. Prepare to hear the "pistophobes" froth over this incident for decades. Thoughts and prayers going up for the girl and her family.
