This area is in desperate need of a mental health crisis intervention team. The presence of so many officers at the Ransom home escalated the situation. A crisis intervention team headed by mental health professionals would likely have had a much different outcome.

Laws designed to protect the rights of the mentally ill to refuse treatment and to prevent involuntary hospitalization have gone a step too far. The hands of the families of the mentally ill are tied. They have little recourse than to watch their mentally ill loved one enter a downward spiral. No one but Ransom knows if he was shooting at an officer, or was shooting at demons that only he could see. We don't know if he was responding to voices commanding him to kill himself. Mental illness is a terrible thing to experience for both the person who is ill and the family who loves him. My heart goes out to the Ransom family.

I never understand why people think they can get away with any type of crime in this city. It's to small everyone knows everyone and what their up too.

These criminals are first and foremost, stupid. Secondly, they deserve no sympathy, empathy whatsoever. If only these cowardly jackals would try to steal from me. They would be screaming for someone to call the police.

Will Hinton walk again? He has been in trouble his whole life and never done any major jail time.
