Every time I pass a sheriff's car parked, they are on the phone....and most of the time I see them driving too. Most think they are above the law though. Sad

Oh speeding tickets... I have had four in life for 10 miles over on the interstates. Traps are not cool. I agree, step it up on the phono yackers and texters. Not only are they dangerous, half the time they disturb traffic. I am normally just getting out of the way or trying to get away from the phonies, trucks and dangerous drivers, if I am speeding at all.

The funds pay officers for overtime hours spent enforcing speeding, distracted driving, seat belt, and drunk driving laws.........GEEZZ, can you really do all that with the Radar gun shown in the picture?

Just FYI to Larry Mincks and Staff! You clearly are not traffic cops, put the RADAR guns and LIDAR away. In order for a Law Enforcement Officer to Enforce Traffic safety with it being the primary purpose of your duties you need a blue light on top of the cruiser. It is a law if you want the orc i can provide it to you. Therefore when you have deputies enforcing a traffic laws off of traffic grants, traffic is clearly your primary purpose therefore you legally can not stop anyone until you put the blue light ON TOP of their vehicles

BigNapper...why chase them..just follow the trail of dorito crumbs and then wait til they fall asleep. btw, they are the ones with the nacho coating around their lips...for the benefit of identification.

I am thankful everyday we have men and woman of the caliber of the officers at the SO. "We sleep soundly in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm."
