@bwc- perception is a powerful thing. We heard much more about the faults in the venue with Sochi than we ever did with Vancouver. From half pipes not being angled properly, mushy snow, judging controversies and Olympians having to bust down their own doors to get out of their rooms...Sochi had room for improvement.

Seriously, whatthe... what the heck do you know? You are just an old racist. Own it. Since when should only rich countries host the Olympics.

And lack luster, Kendall? people seemed to be happier there with things than the were in Vancouver.

According to your standards, Appalachia would never stand a chance...

I like the Olympics and watch them whenever they come on. I will admit that this time around that the games didn't hold that sort of charm or magic of past Olympics but it was probably in part do to the venue.

As for politics, we should ignore them. The atheletes are their to compete and to enjoy the fact that they are Olympians.
