I agree Walton. All of the facts need to be available to not only council, but to all Mariettans. Who is the lawyer representing the other land owners who are agreeing to the lease?

I just contacted the Ohio Sierra club as well encase they didn't know about this maybe we can get some national attention. After the spill in WV this might make a great news story.

Before voting for this, council should insist on knowing where the drill pad(s) and pipelines will be laid. They should also insist on complete documentation of every chemical that goes down the hole - and this information should be made public. If this company is using less than state-of-the-art fracking technology then we should take a pass. The Marietta Times should also be more aggressive about finding out where the drilling pad(s) will be and making this information public on maps so we all know exactly where the disruption will be. The greatest chance for water contamination in modern fracking is at the pad, and that's where all the noise is as "well".

I'm all set I have talked to lawyers from Columbus about suing the drillers/City and they have agreed to take the case if the deal goes through. I will post the contact information once the deal is said and done and no they don't want any money up front.
