things must change in the education field, and it is, on line classes in school buildings, more choice with less overhead. home school run by the local. already started on snow days. joint programs with college already started will expand. trades taught starting in 7 grade will happen. on job training in 9 or 10 will happen. all of the above will produce better trained and prepared students for the work force, and cut the overhead in the school building. at present there is too many job opening and no skill workers. the system needs fix it self.

ea333555,Whats with the name calling? Where is the school going to get the 5 million dollars for the rising cost of the union healthcare? I seen your 5 year forecast and there is no way even if this levy passes to keep up with that. That will mean another levy with in 5 years. That is why this one was switched to a 10 year levy.

People who get on here and make uneducated comments only hurt the future of our children and our community. I would bet that they have no children in school. Nonetheless, one should care about the future of our country......not just themselves.

Compared to all similar districts and all other districts in the state, Warren is extremely efficient. For the past five years, our district has spent less than similar and other school districts.

Since 1995, the district has asked for $1.75 million, and the school funding issue in Ohio has not changed. Even if your taxes increase, Warren Local still receives more than 60% of its budget from the state. The state's method for funding the needs of poor rural districts has not kept up with the needs of education and has forced, the burden upon local communities.

The money will be used for supplies, technology, utilities, and other such operational costs.

No salaries or benefits are paid using money from this levy. The districts costs for salaries and benefits have decreased by almost 20% since 2008. These are the facts.

No, I have nothing to do with the "board". Some people on here seem to need more education. All they must have done in school was complain just as they do now. It's "their" not there....and "outrageous" not outrages. Just shows were the ignorance of the comments come from......

Warren and Marietta parents and those close to the schools do a generous level of harm to the system. They are big fish in a small pond and genuinely believe they have all the answers. They will kill the school system just to be "correct"...dangerous.
