Wilma M. Johnson

CALDWELL — Wilma M. Johnson, 85, of 17 Summit Court, Caldwell, Ohio (formerly of Lewisville, Ohio), died Saturday (Feb. 23, 2008) at the Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge, Ohio.

She was born at Sargent, Neb., on Aug. 26, 1922, a daughter of the late Lafeyette and Keo D. Moore Shively.

She was a homemaker who loved her family, her home and her church. She also enjoyed her grandchildren, reading, gardening and needlework. Wilma was a member of the Lewisville United Methodist Church, Lewisville, Ohio, where she was a member of the Women’s Circle. She was also a member of the Friendship Club of Caldwell, Ohio.

On July 19, 1940, she married Robert “Bob” Johnson in Broken Bow, Neb., who preceded her in death on Jan. 16, 1986. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Nona Gibson and Irene Young; and one brother, Leonard Shively.

Surviving are two sons, Marty (Jan) Johnson of Veneta, Ore. and Jim (Lee Ann) Johnson of Lewisville, Ohio; she was also very loved by her seven grandchildren, Jenny (Jeff) Goodrich, Scott (Jenn) Johnson, Raul Johnson and Estela Johnson, all of Oregon, Dan (Laura) Johnson of Pennsylvania, Dennis Johnson of Washington, D.C., and Bethany (Andy) Brehm of Texas; three great-grandchildren, Isaiah Johnson, Gabriel Simonton and Bryn Johnson; three sisters-in-law, Mary Poland, Phylbert Johnson and Bernice Partridge, all of Nebraska; and several loving nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio, where services will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Richard Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Eastern Cemetery, Summerfield, Ohio.
