The Thomas A. Closser Business Center was opened at 245 Millers Lane by the Buckeye Hills-Hocking Valley Regional Development District in July, but so far the only tenant is Buckeye Hills’ own Revolving Loan Fund program, said Jenny Myers, communication specialist/program assistant.
“It opened in July, and we began marketing it in September or October,” she said. “We’ve had several people come to tour it but haven’t had anyone else move in yet.”
There will be another chance for a tour Tuesday when the center is the site of the Small Business Development Center’s Brown Bag series.
Tina Meunier, business development coordinator for the Revolving Loan Fund, will discuss that program and provide information about the center, followed by a tour.
The 2,740 square feet of space is divided into 16 office areas available for lease, said Myers.
The building was the former site of Buckeye Hills before it moved into a larger facility on Ohio 7.
The rental rates start at $125 a month and six-month or one-year leases are available for offices ranging in size from 99 to 209 square feet.
Some office equipment is also included, said Myers.
“We have Internet access, a conference room, a color printer and copier there for use,” she said. “We also have a secretary there from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.”
Janitorial and other services are also provided at the building, Myers said.
The building is named after Tom Closser, a longtime Buckeye Hills director.
