Stonewall, visitors bureau win award
Stonewall Marketing and the Greater Parkersburg Convention and Visitors Bureau were recently honored with a 2008 Telly Award for their creative work on an interactive CD-ROM featuring area attractions, history, events, and other points of interest.
More than 14,000 entries from all 50 states and around the world were evaluated in this year’s competition.
“We are honored to be recognized in conjunction with the Greater Parkersburg CVB,” Stonewall President Thomas J. Crooks said.
Founded in 1979, the Telly Awards honor local, regional, and cable TV commercials, film and video productions, and Web commercials.
The CD-ROM begins with an introduction that automatically launches upon placement in a PC computer’s CD drive and is accessible to MAC systems as well. Once complete, it automatically transitions to a home page where the user may select any of the nine sections featured. Four individual sponsor sections are also featured.
The interactive CD-ROM is being used by the CVB as a direct mailer to visitors, meeting planners, group tour leaders, schools and Realtors.
