She was born Sept. 16, 1927, in Athens County, Ohio, and lived in Hanoverton most of her life, recently moving to Alliance.
Helen was a member of the New Garden Methodist Church in Hanoverton and the Hanoverton Garden Club.
Mrs. Beall was an avid quilt maker, and enjoyed sewing, cooking, listening to music and loved flowers.
Helen is survived by her two daughters, Daisy Sharon (Daniel) Sharkey of Alliance and Deborah Anne (Paul) Bochnewich of Danbury, Conn.; a son, David Madison (Melody) Beall Jr. of Doyline, La.; 11 grandchildren, April, Angelia, David, Jennifer, David, Joanna, Casey, Danny, Marianne, Lauren and Matthew; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two sisters, Donna Mead of Lorena, Texas, and Phyllis (Darrel) Miller of Belpre; a brother, Russell Grimm of Gainesville, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her husband, David M. Beall Sr., on Sept. 9, 1997, whom she married on Feb. 2, 1946; her parents, Charles and Bernice (Lonas) Grimm; and two brothers, Charles and Richard Grimm.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Rockland Cemetery in Belpre, Ohio, with Pastor Paul Dykshoorn of Alliance Christian Center officiating. Interment will follow at Rockland Cemetery.
