Chamber’s annual dinner at Legion hall
The annual dinner for the Beverly-Waterford Area Chamber of Commerce will be served at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the American Legion hall in Beverly. Doors open at 6 p.m.
Guest speaker will be Mike Kachilla. Door prizes will be given away during the event.
Cost is $25 per person. Tickets will be available at The Rock Box, Amy’s Flower Shoppe, Citizens Bank of Beverly, Waterford Commercial and Savings and Skinner Firestone.

Advisory council to meet at Buckeye Hills
The Regional Advisory Council for the Area Agency on Aging will meet at 10 a.m. Friday in the Buckeye Hills-HVRDD Area Agency on Aging office in Marietta.
Relay for Life team holding sub sale
The Washington County Department of Job and Family Services Kancer Kickers Relay for Life team is holding a sub sale. Subs are 12 inches, with ham, turkey, salami, cheese, lettuce and mayo for $5. Orders for delivery, in Marietta only, and money are due by Friday. Subs will be delivered April 21.

MC department hosts MAA spring meeting
Marietta College’s Department of Mathematics and Computer Science will play host to the 2008 spring meeting of the Ohio section of the Mathematical Association of America (MAA) Friday and Saturday.
The meeting consists of several invited speakers from various colleges and universities from across the country, as well as many contributed papers by both students and faculty.
The meeting includes a student competition, banquet, several committee meetings, a student pizza party, a business meeting and an awards ceremony.
