She was born Feb. 9, 1925, in Newport, Ohio, to the late Charley O. and Anna E. Jobes Clark. She worked as “Rosie the Riveter” making B-17s at Douglas Aircraft in California, then later for 14 years as a receptionist at the Washington County Courthouse. She was a member of the Sixth and Washington Streets Church of Christ, Edward Parrish Chapter of Colonial Dames, and the Ohio Valley University “Stepping Stones.”
She is survived by a son, Chris Weihl (Anne) of Marietta; daughters, Cynthia Collins (Sean) of Athens, Kiley Boggs (Brent) of Vienna, W.Va., Lisa Terry of Marietta, and Ciri Martin (Keith) of Tallahassee, Fla.; 13 grandchildren, Josh Brown, Carli McGovern (Mike), Chelsea Martin, Brandon and Courtney Williams, Aubrey and Austin Terry, Harrington, Hayden, and Holden Weihl, Seth Davidson, and Briauna and Kaleb Boggs; one great-granddaughter, Rachel McGovern; sisters, Ruth Rake, Thelma Kinney, Bonnie Armor (Louis), and Joanna Thomas, all of Marietta; and a brother, Woodrow Clark (Eleanor) of Beverly, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Opie Clark; sisters, Lucelia Burton and Wilda Van Wey; and a brother, Orland Clark.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hadley Funeral Home Reno Chapel, 1021 Pike St., where the service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park.
