Pyles-Miller

Sarah Elizabeth Pyles and David Patrick Miller exchanged wedding vows on May 3, 2008, at St. Mary Catholic Church. Father Seth Wymer officiated for the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Michael and Cynthia Pyles of Marietta. She is the granddaughter of Louis and Betty June Huck of Marietta, and Nancy Pyles and the late David R. Pyles of Williamstown.

The bridegroom is the son of Roger and Jane Miller of Marietta. He is the grandson of Lawrence and Regina Weinheimer of Marietta, and the late Francis and Alice Miller of Marietta.

The bride wore an ivory strapless shirred A-line gown that featured a corset back, a beaded neckline, a draped cross band bodice and scattered clusters of beading throughout the skirt and chapel length train. Her headpiece was a beaded elbow length ivory veil. The bride carried a clutch hand bouquet of blue hydrangeas, ivory roses, pale green hypericum berries and ivory wax flowers.

Maid of honor was Megan Konerth. Bridesmaids were Rachel Pyles, sister-in-law of the bride; Jessie Huck, cousin of the bride; Natalie Grose; Amanda Miller; and Andrea Ribot. They wore two-piece cornflower blue floor length gowns with the top of each gown including beading, but each with a unique neckline and style. They carried smaller versions of the bride's bouquet.

Flower girl was Isabella Becker, goddaughter of the bridegroom.

Best man was Doug Miller, brother of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were John Pyles, brother of the bride; Andy Green; Chris Becker; Jay Lang; and Stephen Galise.

Guests were registered by Catt Detearla; and Teresa Pyles, aunt of the bride.

Wedding selections were performed by vocalist, Jennifer Simmons; organist, John Ontko; and trumpeter, David Porter. Scriptures were read by John Weinheimer, uncle of the bridegroom; Mike Huck, uncle of the bride; Kathy Miller, sister-in-law of the bridegroom; and Jason Pyles, cousin of the bride.

A dinner reception followed at the Parkersburg Country Club.

The bride is a 2003 graduate of Marietta High School and a 2007 graduate of Otterbein College with a degree in English. She is employed with the Ohio Association of Chiefs of Police.

The bridegroom is a 1999 graduate of Marietta High School and a 2005 graduate of Ohio University with a degree in industrial technology. He is employed with Diamond Innovations.

After a honeymoon to St. Thomas and St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands the couple are residing in Galloway, Ohio.
