Coats for Kids completed another successful year! As co-captains for Retired Senior Volunteer Program, Distribution of Coats for Kids, we would like to send out a special thank you to The Marietta Times, Peoples Bank, Washington Electric Co-op Inc., Promanco, Washington/Morgan County Community Action and all the RSVP volunteers during this year's campaign. Without all their help, this program would not be possible.
The early, cold weather, bad economy and unemployment have made the need for coats more serious this year. Seven hundred eighty-two coats were distributed with 922 donated. We had gently used and a large number of new coats. We want to especially thank the community for their generosity. When times are tough, Marietta, Belpre and the surrounding areas come to the rescue!
We want to take this opportunity to say God bless you for your help and a wish you a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
