CAMBRIDGE - The Associated Builders and Contractors Inc. (ABC) recently presented Davis Architectural Group with the Excellence in Construction Award for outstanding quality and innovation in design for the city of Uhrichsville's Water Park.
"We wanted the Water Park to bring the 'wow factor' to our community, and this award affirms this for the city," said Uhrichsville Mayor Rick Rieger. "The city of Uhrichsville's progressive vision to improve the community through intelligent and responsible development was brought to the forefront by Davis Architectural Group and their partners through this project."
The Uhrichsville Water Park includes a landscaped plaza featuring a programmable, lighted fountain, an 18,000 square-foot swimming pool and water play area, a 6,624 square-foot bathhouse and concession facility, and a pavilion for picnic activities and special events. Water play attractions include two large 30-foot water slides with multiple smaller slides, water tumble buckets, a raindrop fountain, geyser jets, water cannons and a three-tier aqua play structure. The water park officially opened in May 2008.
"This recognition is especially meaningful for us as it affirms the importance of quality partnerships with city representatives, design professionals and contractors throughout every phase," said John Davis, president of Davis Architectural Group. "It also reinforces our belief that creativity in design can not only bring improved functionality and aesthetics, but also creates pride in communities," Davis continued.
