Pierce-Douglas
Annetta Pierce and Stephen Douglas were married on March 21, 2009, at the Moore Street Tabernacle in Ashland, Ky. Pastor Danny Pancake officiated for the double ring ceremony.
Parents of the couple are Frank and Teresa Pierce of Ashland, Ky.; and John and Susan Douglas of Marietta.
Maid of honor was Jennifer Howard. Bridesmaids were Crystal Mayes, Alicia Johnson and Sarah Runyan.
Flower girl was Sophie Stevens.
Best man was Bill Douglas. Groomsmen were Eric Leslie, John Douglas and James Johnson.
Ringbearer was Ethan Slone.
A reception followed at the Elks Lodge in Ashland, Ky.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of Fairview High School and a 2004 graduate of Morehead State University. She is employed by Time Warner Cable in Clarksburg, W.Va., as an account executive.
The bridegroom is a 1996 graduate of Warren High School and a 1997 graduate of Washington State Community College. He is employed by Suddenlink Media as an East Division assistant operations manager in Parkersburg
After a honeymoon cruise to San Juan, Puerto Rico, the couple are residing in Parkersburg.
Lynch-Lockhart
Jennifer Marie Lynch and Steven Wayne Lockhart were united in marriage on April 25, 2009, at the Walnut Street Church of Christ in Belpre. The bride's uncle, Robert Wiseman, officiated for the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Roger and Sharon Lynch of Vienna, W.Va.
The bridegroom is the son of the late Robert Lockhart and Gerald and Loretta Ball of Davisville, W.Va.
Flower girl was Kaitlynn Lockhart of Vienna, W.Va., daughter of the bridegroom.
Ringbearer was Nathaniel Wilson of Parkersburg, cousin of the bride.
A reception followed at the church.
The bride and bridegroom are both graduates of Parkersburg High School. Both are employed by the Bureau of the Public Debt in Parkersburg.
The couple are residing in Davisville, W.Va.
Barnett-Sheaves
Crystal Marie Barnett and Justin Lee Sheaves were united in marriage on June 7, 2008, at Friendship Ridge Christian Fellowship in Belpre. The ceremony was performed by Pastor Dave Ellenwood.
The bride is the daughter of Charles and Luetta Barnett of Canton, formerly of Belpre. She is the granddaughter of Carl and Loretta Elliott of Waverly, W.Va., Clara Rabb of Canton, and the late Franklin Barnett.
The bridegroom is the son of Robert and Linda Sheaves of Marietta. He is the grandson of Charles and Willetta Clark of Clarksburg, W.Va., Marge Sheaves of Vienna, W.Va., and the late Elmer Sheaves of Vienna.
The bride wore a gown of ivory Italian satin that featured a sweetheart neckline; a fitted bodice with asymmetrical pleating at the waist accented in an embroidered floral motif with Swarovski crystals, beads, and pearls; and an A-line skirt with a chapel train, also embellished with embroidery and crystals. The bride carried a bouquet of roses and lilies in shades of burgundy, crimson, mauve and yellow that had been created by her mother.
Maid of honor was Ashley Elliott of Waverly, cousin of the bride. She wore a black satin strapless ball gown with a chiffon shrug and carried a bouquet of roses and lilies in shades of burgundy, crimson, mauve and yellow.
Best man was Shawn Sheaves of Marietta, brother of the bridegroom. Ushers were Charles "Charlie" Barnett of Canton, brother of the bride; Brandon Eash of Canton, cousin of the bride; and Robert Sheaves Jr. of Beckley, W.Va., brother of the bridegroom.
Ringbearer was Zachery Eash of Canton, cousin of the bride.
Soloists were Steve Johnson, who played the saxophone; Renee Ellenwood, vocalist; and Ruth Bennet, organist.
The bride graduated from Warren High School in 2001, Washington State Community College in 2003 and 2005, and Marietta College in 2008. She is an eighth-grade science teacher at Marietta Middle School.
The bridegroom graduated from Washington State Community College in 2005 and the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy in 2007. He is a deputy sheriff for the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
After a honeymoon in Snowshoe, W.Va., the couple are residing in Marietta.
