Hood-Hall
Kayla Jo Hood and Eric Matthew Hall were married May 9, 2009, at Crossroads United Methodist Church in Waverly, W.Va., with pastors Leo Farley and Randy Mitchell officiating for the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Terry and Loretta Powers of Central, S.C. She is the granddaughter of Jack and Joan Powers of Marietta, the late Richard and Thelma Christley of Corydon, Ind., and Melvin and Sharon Hood of Crandall, Ind.
The bridegroom is the son of Jonathan and Laura Hall of Williamstown. He is the grandson of Frances Hall and the late Dr. Carroll Hall of Vienna, W.Va., and the late Roy and Marjorie Cooper of Marietta.
The bride wore a spaghetti strap white gown with beaded lace detailing the entire gown with a beaded lace train. She also wore her great-grandmother's strand of pearls. The bride carried a bouquet of tulips.
Maid of honor was Erin Hall of Parkersburg, sister-in-law of the bride. Bridesmaids were Samantha Flickner of Corydon, Ind., Megan Fessel of Corydon, Ind., and Kimberly Flowers of Williamstown, all cousins of the bride. They wore moss green cocktail length dresses and carried bouquets of tulips.
Karlie Flowers of Williamstown, the bride's cousin, served as flower girl.
Best man was Nate Hall of Parkersburg, brother of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Mike Hartshorn of Williamstown, Jarrett Jones of Waverly, W.Va., and Justin Shoaf of Williamstown. Ushers were Levi and Logan Flowers of Williamstown, the bride's cousins.
Guests were registered by Haley Fessel of Corydon, Ind., the bride's cousin.
A reception followed at the Betsey Mills Club in Marietta.
The bride is currently attending school at West Virginia University at Parkersburg for accounting.
The bridegroom is employed with Casto Technical Services.
After a honeymoon in Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple will reside in Williamstown.
