Snyder-Dotson
Elizabeth Ryon Snyder and Ryan Matthew Dotson were united in marriage on Jan. 17, 2009, on the beach at Pelican Grand Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Pastor Mark Crompton officiated for the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Steve Snyder of Whipple and Mindy Cooper of Belpre. She is the granddaughter of Don and Gerri Cooper of Veto, the late Peggy Cooper, and the late Luther and Patty Snyder of Veto.
The bridegroom is the son of Billy and Debbie Dotson of Elizabeth, W.Va. He is the grandson of Charles and Betty Deem of Mineral Wells, W.Va., Bill and Linda Dotson of Parkersburg, and the late Bertha Dotson of Elizabeth, W.Va.
The bride wore a white sheath, sleeveless, V-neck gown with an empire waist, a cocktail length train, and a backless bodice that brought together four gathered chiffon sections centered in the back and secured by a Swarovski crystal medallion. Those sections continued down the back into two loose floor length strands. The bride's elbow length veil was edged with Swarovski crystals. In keeping with the beach theme, she wore a starfish necklace from Tiffany & Co., a gift from her mother. She carried a bouquet of orange and white calla lilies wrapped in white organza and satin.
Matron of honor was Jennifer Cosner of Vienna, W.Va.. She wore a below the knee length orange silk chiffon strapless dress and carried a bouquet of orange calla lilies wrapped in teal satin.
Best man was Alan Dotson, of Mineral Wells, W.Va., brother of the bridegroom.
The bride is a graduate of Parkersburg Catholic High School and graduated with a bachelor's degree in accounting from West Virginia University at Parkersburg.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Wirt County High School and graduated with a bachelor's degree in computer information systems from Fairmont State University. He is employed by the Bureau of Public Debt as a system administrator in the Office of Information Technology.
The couple held a reception for family and friends, who could not attend the destination ceremony, on Jan. 31, 2009, at the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Parkersburg.
After their honeymoon, a cruise of the western Caribbean, the couple are residing in Parkersburg.
