Blennerhassett Church

of the Nazarene

The Blennerhassett Church of the Nazarene in Parkersburg will be hosting "Museum@12627" vacation Bible school for children from 3 years old through sixth-graders.

Sessions will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. each night, Aug. 3 to 7. There will also be a VBS fun day with a picnic on Aug. 8.

First Presbyterian,

Christ UM

First Presbyterian Church of Marietta and Christ United Methodist Church are teaming up for a "Crocodile Dock" vacation Bible school during the week of Aug. 3 to 7.

VBS will be held from 9 a.m. to noon each day at 501 Wooster St., Marietta. Children in the community from 3 years of age to those who have completed the fifth grade are invited to join the churches for a "bayou adventure."

The week will include music, crafts, games, a Dockside Drive-In, a Bible Bayou, and a snack shack. Children will also be on the lookout each day for "God sightings."

The mission project for the week will benefit the Back Pack project in Marietta.

Laings Church of Christ

The Laings Church of Christ will be hosting "Fishing With the Master," a family vacation Bible school and gospel meeting with Mark T. Tonkery.

Tonkery, the congregation's new preacher, will be preaching Sunday, Aug. 2, at 9:45 a.m. for Bible class and at 10:30 a.m. for worship, and at 7 p.m. each evening, Aug. 2 to 6.

Vacation Bible school classes will be conducted for children of all ages at 7 p.m. Sunday through Thursday at the church, which is on Ohio 255 at Laings, Ohio.

Sand Hill UM

A "Studio GO" vacation Bible school will be held Sunday through Thursday, Aug. 2 to 6, at Sandhill United Methodist Church on Sandhill Road, Reno.

Classes will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. each day. Registration is at 6:15 p.m. Sunday, Aug 2.

Youngsters will participate each day in large-group music, skits and fun, where they will be introduced to a Bible story and life focus. Wade Winalot, the host of Studio GO, will challenge contestants, Coach Armstrong and Professor Wordsmart, along with the children, to see and understand how God works in the lives of those who trust him. They will be challenged to GO Lead! GO Risk! GO Tell! GO Obey and GO Serve!
