Audiology now
seeing new patients
The Audiology Department at Marietta Memorial Hospital is now seeing patients at the Devola Medical Campus, 4727 State Route 60, in Devola. They can be reached by calling the same number, 374-1582.
With this recent move, Pediatric Speech Therapy is now seeing patients in the Pediatric PT/OT Department at the Wayne Street Medical Campus at 802 Wayne St., Marietta. To contact them, call 374-1478.
The Memorial Health System is a not-for-profit health system governed by a volunteer board of community members.
Chamber welcomes B&B guest wing
The Belpre Chamber of Commerce had a ribbon cutting ceremony on July 28 to welcome a new member, RiverGarden Guest Wing.
The ceremony was held in advance of the business's grand opening, which was held later the same day.
RiverGarden is at 995 Joe Skinner Road, Belpre, and is located five miles from the heart of Belpre and seven miles downriver from Marietta. The business offers a 1,000-square-foot condo-style B&B/hotel setting with a river view from the front window of the lounge area and its front porch.
Two bedrooms, one queen and one with twin beds, and a daybed in the lounge allows sleeping for six. There is also a full kitchen, private bath, Asian-Fusion decor, a private entry and newly-renovated gardens.
RiverGarden Guest Wing is also a new member of Marietta Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Parkersburg Visitors Bureau.

OVU hires associate dean of students
Carla Wadlington has been hired as associate dean of students at Ohio Valley University in Vienna, W.Va.
Wadlington received her bachelor's degree in human services from Lindsey Wilson College in Kentucky and received her master's degree from Freed-Hardeman University. She has worked as an elementary school guidance counselor and social worker at Christian Home and Bible School in Mount Dora, Fla., and as interim director of counseling and freshman adviser with Freed-Hardeman University.
Wadlington's responsibilities in her new role will include providing leadership and support in all areas pertaining to student life. She will work closely with student life personnel, faculty and staff, and student leaders. She will also provide students with personal guidance and mentoring to help them be successful while at OVU as well as in their post-graduate careers.
