Lindsay Anne Rose-Valentine and Mario Sanchez Barnett were united in marriage on June 12, 2009, during an outdoor ceremony held on the Wills Creek Walking Trail Bridge. Philip Sturm, the bride's grandfather and professor of history at Ohio Valley University in Parkersburg, officiated for the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Russ and Melanie Valentine of Cambridge, and Kevin and Beth Rose of Graysville.
The bridegroom is the son of the late Melvin J. Barnett Jr., and Cindy and Walter King of Cambridge.
The bride was given in marriage by her stepfather and mother.
Attending the bride and bridegroom were their three children: Branden Sanchez Barnett, age 8 (of the bridegroom); and Jesiah Latrelle Barnett, age 2, and Izeyah Montez Barnett, age 1 (of the couple).
A reception followed for guests. It was hosted by the bride's mother and stepfather at their home.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Parkersburg High School and will graduate from Valley Beauty School in September 2009.
The bridegroom is a 1997 graduate of Cambridge High School. He is an employee of Coll's Materials in Zanesville.
A honeymoon is planned for the fall of 2009. The couple make their home in Cambridge.
