Murphy-Ruble

Abigail Elizabeth Murphy and Jerad Daniel Ruble were united in marriage on May 30, 2009, at Fairlawn Baptist Church in Parkersburg. Pastor Lester Morgan of Belleville, W.Va., officiated for the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Terry and Deb Murphy of Lubeck, W.Va.

The bridegroom is the son of David and Nancy Ruble of Mineral Wells, W.Va.

The bride wore a strapless ball gown of candlelight bride's satin and lace that was embellished with elegant brocades featuring silver beading and crystals with pink accents and a semi-cathedral length train. Her crystal headpiece was also accented in pink and her fingertip veil was embellished with silver beading and crystals. The bride carried a hand tied bouquet of ivory and light pink roses, pink gerbera daisies and blue delphinium tied with ivory satin and lace ribbons and decorated with crystals and ivory pearls. She wore a necklace and earrings of pink pearls that were hand designed by Bonnie Thomas, aunt of the bridegroom.

Maid of honor was Mckinsey Murphy, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Holly Grant, Sasha Morgan and Rachel Wolfe. They wore long azure blue dresses with pick-up hems and sweep trains. Each dress featured a crystal broche that matched the broche on the dresses worn by the bride and the flower girl. The attendants carried hand tied mixed bouquets of light pink and ivory roses, pink miniature gerbera daisies and blue delphinium. They wore ivory pearl and crystal necklaces that were given as gifts from the bride and were also hand designed by the bridegroom's aunt.

Best man was Eric Ruble, brother of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Tony Cline, Derik Full and Shane Enoch.

Flower girl was Grace Chalos and ringbearer was Jackson Chalos, children of Phillip Chalos.

Sheila Johnson and Cora Taylor, grandmothers of the couple, lit a memory candle before the ceremony to honor grandparents who had passed away.

A dinner and dance reception followed at the Parkersburg Country Club.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of Parkersburg South High School and will graduate from Marietta College in December 2009 with a degree in early childhood education. She will student teach at Harmar Elementary School in Marietta beginning in September 2009.

The bridegroom graduated from Parkersburg South High School in 2004 and attended West Virginia University at Parkersburg and Washington State Community College. He is employed as a petroleum landman with TLM Land Co., LLC.

After a working honeymoon in Pennsylvania, the couple are residing in Parkersburg.
