The Caldwell Redskins piled the bulk of their offensive production into the second quarter as they picked up a 12-9 win over host Beallsville Friday night.

Down 7-0 after one period of play the Redskins turned to the passing game to ignite the offense as quarterback Dylan Sayre completed a pair of touchdown passes.

Sayre hit Tyler Schockling for a 17-yard score with 9:54 to play before half then connected with Bobby Snodgrass for a 40-yard touchdown that proved to be the game-winner with 3:22 to play before the break.

On the night Sayre passed for 169 yards while senior running back Seth Todd picked up 91 yards on 13 carries and Snodgrass had 123 yards receiving on five catches.

Logan Groves led Beallsville's offense, accounting for its' lone touchdown and picking up 108 yards on 17 carries.

Beallsville was given two points with less than three minutes to play when the Blue Devils recorded a safety.

NEW MARTINSVILLE, W.Va. - Magnolia's Stingray Bates rushed for 130 yards on 25 carries to set the tone for the Blue Eagles, who parlayed a pair of short TD runs by Justin Fox and Dillon Jackson into a 13-0 triumph over previously-undefeated Monroe Central Friday night at Alumni Field.

The two Magnolia touchdowns came in quick succession - only 25 seconds apart - late in the third period. Fox's 1-yard TD run capped a six-play drive, giving the Blue Eagles a 6-0 lead with 2:29 remaining in the third quarter.

Capitalizing on a Monroe Central turnover, Magnolia was back in business seconds later with Jackson scoring from one yard out.

Magnolia (5-0) amassed 207 yards on the ground but completed only 1-of-13 pass attempts for 14 yards. Jackson complemented Bates with 88 yards on 17 carries.

Monroe Central (5-1) managed only 77 yards on the ground on 24 carries and picked up another 65 yards through the air as senior quarterback Derek-London Dierkes completed 7-of-21 attempts with one interception.

Josh Duffy caught three passes for 34 yards, Dierkes was MC's leading rusher with 52 yards on 13 carries.

Monroe Central saw its 12-game regular-season winning streak snapped.

Defensively, sophomore linebacker Tyler Kinchen has a team-high 14 tackles, while Kole Hogue, Hogan Hamilton and Tyron Kinchen all logged seven tackles.

SARAHSVILLE - By halftime the score between the Shenandoah Zeps and Buckeye Trail Warriors was already set, but neither team knew it.

Shenandoah and Buckeye Trail scored all their points in the first two quarters of play as the Zeps picked up a 21-7 win at Shenandoah High School Friday night.

Zeps' sophomore Shane Crum accounted for two of the Shenandoah scores, both coming in the second quarter.

Wes Rataiczak tossed a pair of touchdown passes, one to Brandon Starr to open the game's scoring in the first quarter and an 82-yard strike to Crum in the second quarter.

Crum's second touchdown of the night came on a 20-yard interception return.

Buckeye Trail's offense was limited to the production from Bobbie Beros as the Warriors' quarterback rushed 26 times for 150 yards and the lone score while completing 6-of-9 passes for 60 yards and the one interception.

Rataiczak completed 4-of-10 pass attempts for 113 yards and the two scores.
