What are you doing Tuesday?
We hope your answer is "voting."
When polls open Tuesday, it's important to be there. Several state and local issues are on the ballot that will have a direct impact on your community. And there are scores of candidates running for office, from city council, to school boards to board of trustees.
There's no excuse not to. Polling places and hours are convenient. Need information about what's on the ballot? Then check out www.mariettatimes.com or the Washington County Board of Elections' Web site. Be informed, then take action.
Vote.
Do you want a say on whether a multi-million bond issue is approved to help pay for new schools in Marietta? Then vote.
Do you want a say on a proposal to locate casinos in Ohio's major cities? Then vote.
Do you want a say in who serves on your local city council, school board or board or trustees?
Then vote.
As citizens of this community, voting is our responsibility. Don't take that responsibility lightly.
We'll see you at the polls Tuesday.
