Ollom-Skinner

Ashley Marie Ollom and Thaddeus Riley Skinner were united in marriage on July 4, 2009, during an outdoor wedding at the Marietta Shrine Club gazebo. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Michael Fetty.

The bride is the daughter of Roy and Judy Ollom of Vincent. She is the granddaughter of the late John and Mary Ollom of Vincent, and Damon and the late Ruth Bentley of Nelsonville.

The bridegroom is the son of Bill Skinner of Waterford and Theresa Skinner of Marietta. He is the grandson of Roy and the late Dorothy Skinner of Waterford, and Frank and Lorena Engle of Coal Run.

The bride wore a strapless princess line gown of organza over satin with crystal beading on the bodice, skirt and chapel train. Her gown also featured a lace-up bodice back. She wore a short veil tier with scattered beading and rhinestones with a corded edge. The bride carried a nosegay bouquet of pink sweet kiss alstromeria lilies, cherry bay lilies, red silhouette asiatic lilies and pink and white mini calla lilies wrapped with white satin ribbon.

Maid of honor was Lindsey Neehouse Capizzi of Cincinnati. Bridesmaids were Tisha Skinner of Parkersburg, sister of the bridegroom; Emily Longstreth of Gahanna; Stephani Hamm Zetty of Parkersburg; and Crystal Hall Lang of Waterford. They wore knee length dresses in mocha flat taffeta with bubble hems and waist sashes. Each carried a nosegay bouquet of pink sweet kiss alstromeria lilies, cherry bay lilies and red silhouette asiatic lilies wrapped with brown satin ribbon.

Best man was Casey Lang of Waterford, cousin of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Travis Ollom of Arlington, Va., brother of the bride; Brandon Skinner of Beverly, cousin of the bridegroom; Justin Wendel of Columbus; and Nick Pottmeyer of Edmund, Okla.

Soloists were Shannon Riffey Bina of Parkersburg and Brett Riffey of Vincent. Scripture reader was Karen Vaughan Guido of Honduras.

Guests were registered by Andrea Spence Pudas.

A dinner reception followed at the Marietta Shrine Club.

The bride is a 2000 graduate of Warren High School. She is also a 2005 graduate of Ohio University with a bachelor's degree in early childhood education and a master's degree in reading education. She is employed by Wood County Schools as a kindergarten teacher at Emerson Elementary.

The bridegroom is a 1999 graduate of Waterford High School and a 2003 graduate of Marietta College with a bachelor's degree in marketing. He is employed by EZ Grout Corp. of Watertown as a sales manager.

After a honeymoon trip to Ochio Rios, Jamaica, the couple reside in Waterford.

Sexauer-Jones

Sarah Jane Sexauer and Patrick Allen Jones were united in marriage on Oct. 24, 2009, at Peters Creek Presbyterian Church in Venetia, Pa. The Rev. Jeff Such officiated for the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Don and Ann Sexauer of Venetia, Pa. She is the granddaughter of the late Don Sexauer and Mary Sexauer of Pennsylvania, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Schleper.

The bridegroom is the son of Jack and Nancy Jones of Williamstown. He is the grandson of the late Jack H. Jones and Ann Jones of West Virginia, and the late Edwin Gawthrop and Madeline Ward of West Virginia.

The bride wore a floor-length white satin gown with embroidered lace, crystal beading, sequins and a semi-cathedral train. Her gown featured an empire waistline and a train the color of clover. The bride carried a bouquet of orange Asiatic lilies, red alstromeria and red roses with trailing ivy.

Matrons of honor were Elizabeth Ohl and Heather Sauers, the bride's sisters. Bridesmatron was Valerie Jones, the bridegroom's sister-in-law. They wore sage green floor length gowns of chiffon and carried bouquets with orange Asiatic lilies, red alstromeria and red roses with trailing ivy.

Best man was Matthew Jones, the bridegroom's brother. Groomsmen were Michael Squibb and Douglas Hottinger.

Flower girl was Emily Ohl, the bride's niece. The flower girl's escort was Brendan Sauers, the bride's nephew.

Music was performed by Lisa Herring during the ceremony.

A reception followed at The Royal Place in Pittsburgh, Pa.

The bride is a 2001 graduate of Peters Township High School in Pennsylvania and a 2009 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor of science in elementary education.

The bridegroom is a 1993 graduate of Williamstown High School and a 1996 graduate of Muskingum College with a bachelor of arts in history and art.

The couple reside in Williamstown.

Schafer-Hartlage

Brenda Schafer and James Hartlage exchanged marriage vows during a private ceremony at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 14, 2009, at Sandhill United Methodist Church. Pastor Wendy Erb officiated for the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Esther Gray of Marietta and the late Robert L. Gray of Austin, Texas.

The bridegroom is the son of the late Robert and Roberta Hartlage.

Wedding selections were presented by Jane Irvine, organist. Vocalists were Dr. Tom Danford; Tiffany Hartlage Garcia, daughter of the bridegroom; and Jon and Faith Hartlage, son and daughter-in-law of the bridegroom.

The bride wore a sleeveless long champagne color dress with a sequined lace jacket. She carried a bouquet of hydrangeas.

Matron of honor was Irene Stevens. She wore a two-piece black suit with the cuffs and neckline trimmed in champagne.

Best man was Jon Hartlage, son of the bridegroom. Ushers and acolytes were Nathan Schafer, Tad Goddard, Zachary Schafer and Seth Schafer.

Ringbearers were Maxwell and Jacob Schafer.

Guests were registered by Seth Schafer and Zachary Schafer.

A reception followed in the church's fellowship hall.

The bride is a graduate of Marietta High School and is a dental assistant for Dr. Tim Tilton, D.D.S., and Dr. Tom Danford, D.D.S.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Zanesville Rosecrans High School, the University of Dayton with a B.S. degree, and Notre Dame University with a master's degree. He is a retired school teacher for Marietta City Schools and is a part-time teacher currently at St. Mary's Catholic School.

After a wedding trip to Hilton Head, the couple are residing at the bride's home on Miller Avenue in Marietta.

Smith-Bayes

Shauna DeeAnn Smith and Gregory Michael Bayes were united in marriage on Aug. 22, 2009, in Sardis.

The bride is the daughter of Ronald and Delores Smith. She is the granddaughter of Homer and Vera Smith, and the late John and Esther Rothacher.

The bridegroom is the son of Gary and Kimberly Bayes. He is the grandson of Glenn and Dorothy Bayes, and David and the late Kathleen Langsdorf.

Maid of honor was Kayla Bayes (Haney), sister-in-law. The bride's other attendants were Alison Zucker and Kayla Heslep, bridesmaids; and Paige Smith, niece of the bride, junior bridesmaid. They wore blue dresses with tangerine color sashes.

Flower girl was Monet Malket, cousin of the bridegroom.

Derek Bayes, brother of the bridegroom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Nathan and Heath Langsdorf and junior groomsmen were Aaron and Matthew Alleman.

Ringbearers were Garrett Langsdorf and Logan Alleman.

David, Scott and Cliff Alleman, along with Ronald Smith Jr., served as ushers.

Ryan Smith was guitarist.

The bride is employed at Wetzel County Hospital and the bridegroom is employed with Buckeye Builders.

After a honeymoon in Cincinnati, the couple now reside in Sardis.

Boston-Highman

Stephanie Lynne Boston and Jared Lynn Highman were united in marriage on June 20, 2009, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Miltonsburg, Ohio. The double ring ceremony was performed by Father Dave Gaydosik.

The bride is the daughter of Marilyn Boston of Wingett Run. She is the granddaughter of the late Lloyd Sr. and Kathryn Booth, and the late Kenneth and Larnell Boston.

The bridegroom is the son of Gregory and Susan Highman of Graysville. He is the grandson of the late Lawrence and Gladys Highman, and the late Kenneth Sr. and Margaret Meyer.

The bride wore a white strapless, A-line gown with embroidery on the bodice, skirt and train. She carried a bouquet of pink roses and carried her grandmother's handkerchief and wore her cameo ring.

Maid of honor was Tiffany Hlubb. Bridesmaids were Janel Highman, sister of the bridegroom; Kourtney Booth, cousin of the bride; and Tiffany Crum, cousin of the bridegroom.

Mattie Boston, niece of the bride, and Rylan Kinzy, cousin of the bridegroom, served as flower girls.

Best man was Derek Winland. Groomsmen were Casey Mercer, cousin of the bride; and Ryan Highman and Shane Highman, cousins of the bridegroom.

Tyler Jacobs, nephew of the bride, and Mathen Decker, cousin of the bridegroom, served as ringbearers.

Guests were registered by Tanner Booth, cousin of the bride.

A dinner and reception followed at the church hall.

The bride is a 2005 graduate of Fort Frye High School and a 2009 graduate of Marietta College with a degree in early childhood education. She is currently employed as a Title One reading and math teacher at Skyvue Elementary and Beallsville Elementary schools.

The bridegroom is a 2002 graduate of Monroe Central High School and a 2004 graduate of Hocking Technical College with a certificate in heavy equipment operation. He is currently employed with Highman's Construction.

The couple honeymooned at Daytona Beach, Fla. They are currently residing in Woodsfield.

Boston-Highman
