Washington County Fair royalty crowned

The 16th annual Washington County Fair Little Princess and Little Prince Contest was held during the fair on Sept. 5.
There were six contestants for Little Prince and 13 contestants for Little Princess.
Maeghan O'Neill, who was crowned Little Princess, is the 4-year-old daughter of Erin O'Neill of Marietta. She is the granddaughter of Fred O'Neill and Willa O'Neill of Marietta, and the great-granddaughter of Frank Veazey of Portsmouth.
Maeghan enjoys coloring, dancing, gymnastics, playing with friends and watching movies.
Logan Maze, who was crowned Little Prince, is the 5-year-old son of Crimson and Dustin Maze of Belpre. He is the grandson of Carrie and Dale Richards, and John and Eleanor Forshey, and the great-grandson of Alma Eaton.
Logan enjoys fishing with his mom and dad, gardening with his great-grandma Alma and riding four-wheelers.

Hallmark contest
Anne Johnson of Vincent was selected recently as a winner in Hallmark's "Birthday His Way" Greeting Card Contest.
She was one of 30 winners announced recently by Hallmark in the company's seventh card-creation "Birthday His Way" competition.
Johnson's winning card design is a sketch of a television remote and the caption "It's all yours" on the cover. Inside, it reads "In honor of your birthday, I relinquish complete control." For being a winner, Johnson won $250.
The Hallmark competition encouraged consumers to submit their designs or photos with a birthday message for a man. Winners' cards are being sold online at Hallmarkcontests.com.
Hallmark creative staff judged the cards on cohesiveness (how well the image and the message worked together), sendability (could be sent by lots of different people), and how well the entry fit the contest theme (cards for guys).
All of the winners' designs went on sale on-line at Hallmarkcontests.com on Nov. 2. Several of the winners' cards will be selected for sale in stores in the summer of 2010.
