Friday incidents lead to one arrest

One arrest has been made but few details were released Sunday as investigations continue into a flurry of unrelated Friday evening incidents in Marietta, including an alleged armed robbery, a hit-skip crash involving a pedestrian and a pair of assaults.
Around 6:30 p.m., Randal M. Nalle, of 1852 Camden Ave., Parkersburg, reported being robbed in the 400 block of East Eighth Street by two men, one who was Caucasian and one who was Hispanic.
Nalle told police one of the men brandished a gun and took $265 in cash. That case remains under investigation.
At approximately the same time, police were investigating a report of a motorist striking a pedestrian and fleeing.
David M. Jennings, 57, of Huffman, Texas, was struck at the intersection of Third and Marion streets by a 1998 Chevy truck, thought to have been driven by Douglas M. Frazier, 63, no address listed.
A short time after the incident, Frazier was stopped and cited by the Ohio Highway Patrol about two miles away on Muskingum Drive.
Jennings sustained injuries to his legs and was treated and released from Marietta Memorial Hospital, according to police.
"(After striking Jennings), he got out of his truck, walked back, looked at (Jennings), got back in his truck, saw red and blue lights coming and drove off," Marietta Police Sgt. Len Ritchie said. "He never said a word."
Frazier was charged with hit/skip, driving without a license and failure to yield.
In other incidents during the same time period, two girls, ages 10- or 11, reported being confronted by a man who chased them and two adult women reported being accosted, both apparently near Third and Washington streets.
"It sounds like the two little girls may have cussed at someone as they went by, he got out and chased them," Ritchie said. "We don't have a whole lot more on it."
The incident occurred at 6:45 p.m. in the 300 block of Marion Street.
Police also continue to investigate the assault report, made by Christina R. Nunn, of 207 Barber St. The second alleged victim was not identified in the police report.
The women reported being assaulted at 5 p.m. in the 700 block of Third Street.

The way this article is written, it is hard to tell who was where at what time. Marietta Times, you need to get better writers. Maybe I should apply for the job. This is pitiful.........

Wasn't Christina Nunn arrested for dealing herion several months ago? It amazes me that she is still allowed to walk the streets to even be assaulted, why haven't we read her name in the grand jury indictments?

I am very familiar with Youngstown and our crime rate is nothing compared with Youngstowns daily crime rate. Give me Marietta over Youngstown any day.
