Sporting goods business expands

Dixie Sporting Goods, at 100 Front Street, fifth floor in the Riverview Building in Marietta, has expanded its sales force once again.

Joining the sales team is Ryan Hopkins, a former Parkersburg South High School basketball standout. Hopkins also played basketball at Florida Gulf Coast University, where he holds the all time leading scoring record. Hopkins has played professional basketball overseas in Bosnia, China and Venezuela.

Hopkins will be assuming existing accounts and growing our territory throughout Ohio and West Virginia area.

Dixie Sporting Goods is a division of Sport Supply Group Inc. of Dallas, Texas.

National association welcomes member

The National Association of Senior Move Managers welcomes New Leaf Transitions as its newest member.

New Leaf Transitions was formed in 2009 as a subsidiary of Copper Leaf Interior Design Studio, 710 Lancaster St., Marietta, and specializes in providing a variety of senior move services including customized floor plans, sorting services, move planning and move management oversight, and unpacking and setting up the new home.

As the only professional association in the country devoted to helping the rapidly increasing 55+ population with middle and later life transition issues, NASMM is dedicated to assisting older adults and families with the physical and emotional demands of downsizing, relocating, or modifying their homes.

Solvay employees reach five years

Two Solvay Advanced Polymers, L.L.C., employees have recently completed five years of employment with the company.

Jeff Wayne joined the Marietta plant in 2004 as a laborer. He is currently a chemical operator.

Wayne and his wife, Susan, live in Stockport and have two children, Shelby and Matthew.

Robert Reynolds joined the Marietta plant in 2004 as a laborer. He is currently a chemical operator.

Reynolds and his wife, Lori, live in Williamstown and have four children, Jonathan, Kirstin, Taylor and BreeAnn.

Design firm launches new Web site

Copper Leaf Interior Design Studio at 710 Lancaster St., Marietta, has launched its newly redesigned and updated Web site, www.copperleafinteriors.com.

The Web site features a newly expanded portfolio, detailed information regarding the staff and services, upcoming events and design news, customer testimonials and links to resources and suppliers.

The Web site was redesigned by Pamela Holschuh, Robyn Spataro and Thomas Eells. Eells, a professional photographer, also took some of the interior photographs for the Web site's portfolio.
