Frontier school board meets today
The Frontier Local Board of Education will meet at 8 p.m. today in the Frontier High School library for its regular December meeting.
Mid-Ohio Valley Ringers to perform
The Mid-Ohio Valley Ringers, a community handbell ensemble, will present "An Evening of Holiday Music" at 7 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, 1341 Juliana St., Parkersburg.
Earlier hours for Noble department
The Noble County Health Department will be closing at 4 p.m. during the Christmas season, beginning Monday, Dec. 21. The department will close at noon on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, and New Year's Eve, Dec. 31. The department will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

PHS concert planned for Monday
The traditional Parkersburg High School A Cappella Choir concert will include a string quintet this year.
The concert will be begin at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21, in the PHS auditorium.
The PHS Men's Ensemble will be performing with a string quintet consisting of PHS students Henry Wang, Zoe Heflin, Carter Rice and Sarah Showalter, all cellists; and Morgan Knapp, violinist. The quintet auditioned for this position.
The four cellists are from The Cello Company, under the direction of Cynthia Puls; and the violinist, is under the direction of David Puls.
Clothing bag sale at thrift shop
The Western Washington County Food Pantry and Thrift Store at 18 High St. in Vincent will be having a clothing bag sale for $2 a bag through Dec. 31. The thrift store is for anyone and everyone.
Hours are from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays, and 1 to 4 p.m. and 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursdays (the sale will not be open from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Dec. 24 and Dec. 31.

Hosts needed for exchange students
Foreign Exchange Students International Fellowship, a nonprofit exchange student program, is looking for volunteer families or individuals to host foreign exchange students during the coming school year. These high school students from abroad will be here for a full academic year or for a semester. Students have their own spending money and are covered by health and accident insurance.
