Elizabeth J. "Beth" Johnson, age 59, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Saturday, February 13, 2010, at OSU Medical Center in Columbus. She was born November 4, 1950, at Halley's Ridge near Ava, daughter of Patricia M. Heddleson Danford of Caldwell and the late William I. Danford, who died February 9, 2007. She was a 1968 graduate of Shenandoah High School, and she was employed as the deputy auditor for the Noble County Auditor's Office. She also owned and operated Forever Treasures Store in Caldwell, and she was a member of the Belle Valley United Methodist Church. She enjoyed collecting Barbie and Polly Pocket figurines and she loved animals. She also enjoyed traveling, especially to flea markets and car shows.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her fiance, Richard "Dick" Dieringer of Caldwell; three daughters, Kelli A. (Eric) Clark of Caldwell, Shannon L. Langley (Warren Yoders) of Cambridge, and Courtney J. (Adam) Slevin of Caldwell; one sister, Brenda E. (Wayne) Milliken of Cambridge; two brothers, Robert D. (Pat) Danford and Phil W. (Eva) Danford, both of Caldwell; 5 grandchildren, Ethan, Erin, Dakota, Reilly, and Emmitt; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call Tuesday, February 16, 2010, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Wednesday, Feb. 17th at 11 a.m. with Pastor Sandra Payette officiating.
