Taylor-Bates

Becca Taylor and Brad Bates exchanged wedding vows during a private ceremony on Feb. 11, 2010.

The bride is the daughter of Dave and Carmen Lauer of Marietta, and Michael and Jeanie Durham of Vienna, W.Va. She is the granddaughter of Richard and Goldie Lauer of Stanleyville, and the late Charles and Carolina Durham and John and Alma Harris.

The bridegroom is the son of Mike and Coreen Riski of Nashport, Ohio, and Gary and Linda Bates of Pomeroy, Ohio. He is the grandson of the late Francis and Fay Burchett and Glendon and Noreen Bates.

A marriage celebration with family and friends was held at Logan's Roadhouse in Vienna, W.Va.

The bride is employed by Don Faulkner State Farm and Logan's Roadhouse in Vienna, W.Va.

The bridegroom is employed by Globe Specialty Metals in Beverly.

Plans are being made for a future honeymoon trip. The couple will reside in Vienna, W.Va.

Giboney-Taylor

Jonathan Eugene Taylor and Emma Kathleen "Katie" Giboney were united in marriage on Feb. 7, 2010, at Raven Rock United Methodist Church in St. Marys, W.Va. Pastor Mark Mayfield officiated for the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the oldest daughter of Paul and Jeannie Giboney of St. Marys, W.Va. She is the granddaughter of Pauline Smith and Marvin Sunderman of St. Marys, W.Va., the late Dallas "Gene" Satterfield, and the late Lennis and Emma Giboney.

The bridegroom is the oldest son of Teddy Jr. and Mary Taylor of St. Marys, W.Va. He is the grandson of Carroll and Betty Metheney, and Ted Taylor Sr. and Juanita Boley Taylor of St. Marys, W.Va.; and the great-grandson of Margie Boley of St. Marys, W.Va.

The couple have one son, Jayson Eugene Taylor.

Bridesmaid was Samantha Giboney, sister of the bride. Flower girl was Jaidyn Giboney, sister of the bride.

Best man was Andrew Taylor, brother of the bridegroom.

After the ceremony, guests had dinner at the Golden Corral restaurant.

The bride is a 2005 graduate of St. Marys High School and is employed by Rem Community Options in St. Marys as a caregiver.

The bridegroom is a 2006 graduate of St. Marys High School. He is employed by Williamstown Fab and is a welder by trade.

The couple are residing at 1059 Pioneer Community Road, St. Marys, W.Va.

Archer-Bailey

William L. Bailey of East Fultonham, Ohio, and Kristie L. Archer of Fleming were married during a private marriage ceremony on Dec. 28, 2009.

Judge Janet Dyar-Welch officiated for the couple's exchange of vows at Marietta Municipal Court.
