Patricia Marie Wertz and Chadrick Ray Spence were united in marriage in a double ring ceremony on April 23, 2010, at the Isla Mujeres Palace Resort, Isla Mujeres, Mexico. In attendance were immediate family and friends. A beach side dinner/dance reception was held at the Palace Resort.
The bride is the daughter of McKim and Ellen Wertz of Middleburg Heights, Ohio. She is the granddaughter of Miriam Wertz, Berea, Ohio, and the late Harmon Wertz, Sophie Berger, Middleburg, Ohio, and the late Robert Berger. She is a 1998 graduate of Anderson High School, Cincinnati, Ohio, 2002 graduate of Ohio University, Athens, with a bachelor's degree in legal communications and a 2005 magna cum laude graduate of Capital University Law School, Columbus. She is the owner of Spence Search Parteners, LLC, a legal recruiting firm.
The bridegroom is the son of Chip and Cheryl Spence of Belpre. He is the grandson of Norma Cain, Vincent, and the late Hobart Ray Farley, Donna Spence, Belpre, and the late Russell Spence. He is a 1997 graduate of Warren High School, Vincent, 2001 graduate of Marietta College, Marietta, with a bachelor's degree in business management and a 2005 magna cum laude graduate of Capital University Law School, Columbus. He is employed as associate general counsel of Artex Oil Company, Marietta.
Maid of honor was Corinne Wertz, sister of the bride. Best man was Mike Warden. The wedding soloist was Suzanne Rosnowski.
The couple are residing at their home outside of Belpre.
