Tunnel-Warren Chapel United Methodist Vacation Bible School; 6 to 8:30 p.m. each evening from Aug. 8 to 10; bible stories, crafts, songs, games and snacks at Tunnel, wiener roast/potluck at Warren Chapel on Wednesday, Aug. 11; all children ages 3 through sixth grade invited to attend; 374-5623 or 516-5884.
"Son Harvest," theme of Vacation Bible School, Aug. 8 to 11, will be sponsored by the Tunnel and Warren Chapel UM churches. There will be bible lessons, crafts, songs, games and refreshments each evening. Tunnel UMC will be hosting the VBS on Aug.8, 9 and 10. The final night will be held at Warren Chapel UMC and will include a program with music, followed by a wiener roast/potluck beginning at 6 p.m. Tunnel UMC is located about 5 miles west of Marietta on Ohio 550. "EGYPT: Joseph's Journey from Prison to Palace," theme of Vacation Bible School, from 5 to 8 p.m. each night from Aug. 9 to 13, St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 401 Scammel St., Marietta; participants will explore Pharaoh's palace, experience thrilling "real-life" dramas, play high-energy games, sample snacks, and hear music; a light supper will be served at 5 p.m.; to register, 373-1716.
