It was my pleasure to send a letter that included a $110 money order donation from Paula Wooten a resident at Pleasantview Towers today to Old Man Rivers Mission recently.
Wooten produced beautiful hand-made winter neck scarves and sold them at the Pleasantview Towers annual indoor yard-sale event earlier this month to generate the donation.
Twenty-two PVT residents purchased winter scarves from Wooten (on a very, very hot day) for $5 each with the knowledge she would donate proceeds to Old Man Rivers Mission.
Another PVT resident, Betty Jett, conducts a weekly bingo game here that generates food donations for the mission on a regular basis.
As the resident manager of PVT, I'm appreciative of the free hot meal delivery service Old Man Rivers Mission provides to our residents on weekends.
As the resident manager of PVT, I'm proud to work for (and with) residents such as Paula and Betty who give back to the mission and other good causes in the Mid-Ohio Valley.
