Sarah Marie Altman of Marietta and Kyle Casimir Kopko of Enola, Pa., together with their parents, announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of David and Sandra Altman of Marietta. She is the granddaughter of David and Theresa Altman and Ralph Gardner, all of Pittsburgh, Pa.
Sarah is a 2002 graduate of Marietta High School, and a 2007 graduate of The Ohio State University. She completed two master's degrees; vocal performance and vocal pedagogy at The Ohio State University in 2009, and will finish a third master's degree in speech language pathology at Ohio University in 2012.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Richard and Debra Kopko of Enola, Pa. He is the grandson of Bernadine Kopko of Mechanicsburg and Pearl Ream, of Harrisburg.
Kyle is a 2002 graduate of Elizabethtown College in Elizabethtown, Pa. He completed his doctoral degree in political science at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio in 2010. He is currently employed as a professor of political science and director of the pre-law program at Elizabethtown College.
The wedding is being planned for Sept. 3 at St. Mary Church in Marietta
