Richard and Jaunita (Hughes) Wetz are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary.
The high school sweethearts were married Feb. 3, 1946, at the home of Otto Brahaus, pastor of St. John Church, Lowell. They now reside in Huber Heights, Ohio, and are both retired.
She is the daughter of the late Harley C. and the late Gailie Hughes of Lowell.
He is the son of the late Albert J. and the late Verna Mae Wetz of Lowell.
The couple have three children: Terry (Jim) Filippini of Elmhurst, Ill.; Nan (Charles) Arnett of Prestonsburg, Ky.; and Dave (Lynn) Wetz of Huber Heights. Their grandchildren are: Amanda Arnett of Lexington, Ky.; Lyssa Wetz of Fairborn, Ohio; Allyson Wetz of Chicago, Ill.; and Marcus Filippini of Elm Hurst, Ill.
They are members of Huber Heights Senior Citizens exercise class, bowling league and enjoy dancing.
