The children of William "Bill" and Mavourneen "Mav" Bonar announce their parents' 60th wedding anniversary. They were married Feb. 3, 1951, in Bellaire, Ohio, at the home of her parents by Minister Charles Rock.
He retired from Marietta City Schools after serving as a teacher, coach and athletic director. He is now a courier for Peoples Bank. She retired from manager of the Charm Beauty Salon.
They have three children: Bill (Ann) Bonar; Lisa (Denny) Burkhart; and Amy (Don) Potter. They have six grandchildren: Jessica (Justin) McIntosh; Sarah (Brian) Plasters; Andy (Audrey Doseck) Bonar; Nicholas (Megan Blake) Shotwell; Rachel (Matt) Hansley; and Daniel Burkhart. They also have seven great-grandchildren: Abigail, Leah and Samuel McIntosh; Kate and Lucy Plasters; and Liam and Lily Shotwell.
A family celebration will be held at a later date.
