Nichole Christine Pratt and Donnie Eugene Stevens II were united in marriage Aug. 28, 2010, at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church in Mineral Wells with Pastor Kevin P. Lantz officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Steven and Angela Pratt of Mineral Wells. She is the granddaughter of Clarence "Butch" and Nina Ruble and Teddy Joe and Wilma Pratt of Mineral Wells. She is a 2005 graduate of Parkersburg South High School and a 2010 graduate of West Virginia University of Parkersburg with a bachelor's degree in business administration. She is employed by Ryan's Restaurant.
The bridegroom is the son of Donnie and Sandy Stevens of Athens County, Ohio. He is the grandson of Frank and Bonnie Stevens of Fly, Ohio, and Arthur Oger of Paden City, W.Va., and the late Twila K. Oger. He is a 2000 graduate of Federal Hocking High School and is a 2005 graduate of Ohio University with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. He is employed by RJM Engineering.
Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a gown of white shimmer organza with platinum embroidery and hand beaded crystals throughout. The trumpet style gown with sweetheart neckline had a corset back that flowed into a chapel length train. The bride wore a crystal headband along with a fingertip veil. She carried a bouquet of royal blue and white wooden roses with crystal accents wrapped in white satin, made by the bride's mother.
The bride's sister, Ashley Pratt of Mineral Wells, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Chantel Graham, cousin of the bride, of Vienna; Renee Stevens, sister of the bridegroom, of Baltimore, Md.; Lindsay Kennedy of Parkersburg; Alexis Reed and Lenee Folks of Washington, W.Va. The bridesmaids wore wrap waist cocktail dresses of royal blue satin with a strapless neckline and pickup skirt. Bridesmaids carried bouquets of royal blue and white wooden roses with crystal accents wrapped in royal blue ribbon. The flower girl, Lucy Pratt cousin of the bride, carried a white basket and tossed royal blue and white rose petals wearing a long white dress with white rosettes. Guests were greeted by Shawna Graham of Mineral Wells, aunt of the bride.
Best man was Cody Schmidt of Middlebourne, W.Va. The groomsman were Josh Stevens, cousin of the bridegroom, of Flat Top, W.Va.; Donald Rose of Huntington; Dusty Bond of Kent; Nathan Hoge of Belpre; and Jesse Bingman of Amesville. The ring bearer, Owen Pratt, cousin of the bride, carried a white ring bearer pillow with royal blue sash with a silver and crystal broach which belonged to the bride's late great-grandmother Ruth Ruble, the pillow was hand made by the bride's great-aunt, Nancy Ruble of Mineral Wells, who also served as ceremony assistant.
Following the ceremony a dinner and dance reception was held at the Nemesis Shrines in Parkersburg. The four-tiered stacked square white wedding cake with butter cream icing, made by the bride's mother, was wrapped in royal blue ribbon with crystal accents, topped with the bride and grooms initials. Photography and video was provided by the bride's uncles, Douglas Ruble and John Lartonoix of St. Louis, Mo..
After a honeymoon to Jamaica, the couple resides in Athens County, with their great dane Willow.
