Robert and Joyce Hockenberry of Marietta will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Feb. 25. They were married on Feb. 25, 1961, in St. Marys, W.Va. by Pastor A. F. Stewart at St. Marys Methodist Church.
She is the daughter of the late Earl E. and Ressie M. Quick. He is the son of the late Raymond and Dorothy Hockenberry.
He retired from Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 168 and Dravo Corporation, later Connex Corporation, after 32 years. She retired as office manager for Dr. John A. Bays, O.D. and Associates after 31 years.
They have two sons: Randy (Melinda) Hockenberry, and Scott (Diane) Hockenberry, all of Marietta. They have one granddaughter, Brandy Sharee (Jason) McBride, of Marietta; and one great-granddaughter, Jocelyn Sharee McBride.
The couple will celebrate their anniversary in April in Atlantic City.
