The Great Community Paper Airplane Contest, noon, Feb. 27, sponsored by the First Unitarian Church; everyone is welcome; asked to bring at least one non-perishable food item for donation to area food pantries; may build planes at home or beginning at noon in the church fellowship hall for the 12:30 p.m. contest; must be made of paper with no additions of tape, glue, paper clips or other accouterments; 373-1784.

Upcoming events

Shrove Tuesday pancake dinner, 5:30 to 7 p.m., March 8, St Luke's Episcopal Church, 320 Second St., Marietta; tickets at the door, $5 for adults, $2.50 for children, and $15 for families; proceeds will be spent on Community Outreach project.
