Terry L. and Elaine Blackburn announce the engagement of their daughter, Whitney Teryn Blackburn, of Belpre to Michael Lee Waseity of Canton.
The bride-to-be is a 2005 graduate of Belpre High School and 2009 graduate of Ursuline College receiving a bachelor's degree in business and marketing. She is attending Malone University in Canton and will receive her master's of business administration later this summer. She is employed by the Department of Veterans Affairs in Akron as a medical support assistant.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Joan Waseity and the late Michael Waseity of Canton. He is a 2002 graduate of Perry High School in Canton. He is employed as a systems analyst in the information technology department at Shears Foods in Brewster, Ohio.
A wedding is planned for July 9, 2011, at the St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Canton with a reception following at the Knights of Columbus in Massillion, Ohio.
